Daily Blog

So far as I can, I hope to post a daily devotional.  You can click on the tab above on the Daily Devotional and it will take you to that page.  Depending on my time, place and the availability of internet connection, I hope to share with you what God prompts in my heart from reading his world.

I know most of us do have our personal devotional time with God, but many don't really take it seriously and some never have any devotional time at all.
A Christian without a consistent devotional time is bound to have many ups and downs in his/her spiritual life.  Reading the Bible, worshiping God and taking the time to pray is not a very difficult thing to do.  But this is what mos Christians fail to do in their lives and put themselves into many heartaches.  A consistent devotional life makes one a very powerful Christian who will stand every test in life.

So, I encourage you to make it your habit to spend time with God on a daily basis. If you need help in the beginning, it is good to follow some published devotionals like Our Daily Bread and others.  But once you are habitual in spending time with God, it is better that you just sit with God with your Bible alone.  Open the Bible even as you worship him, pray to him or whatever.  Do your devotional with an open Bible before you.  Keep your eyes on the text and open your hears to the voice of the Holy Spirit.  With that, you can develop your own personal devotional.
