Is There Peace In Your Home?

Outward appearances do have some correspondence with our inward condition.  It is generally believed that if a man's car is dirty, smelly and squeaky, it may say something about a life that is falling apart from within.  Or he is just a lazy slob who knows nothing about taking control of his situations.  Similarly the condition of a woman's house or her bedroom will speak voluminous.

In one of the evenings last week, Brother Siddharth and I randomly visited some of the members of our church.  In one of the families, we were so pleasantly surprised to see the neat and clean condition of the house.  As we stepped into the house, you could feel the calm and quietness; the serenity that emanated from the beautiful combination of light and art was so touchable.

As we sat in the living for prayer, I could not help my mind to think about the need for inner peace we all need.  If the condition of our inner being was as peaceful and beautiful as the interior of the house we were sitting in, life would be so amazing.

In this crazy world gone wild with all kinds of mental pressures, I was reminded about the peace that Christ gives us.  His peace indeed surpasses all our understanding.  His peace guards our hearts and minds.
